Something about me...
I'm a freelance photographer based in the beautiful Cotswolds. I live in Gloucestershire in the Stroud area.
I've had a passion for photography for over 30 years now. For me it has always been a creative medium and I love to share my photography. I started working professionally in the photography field 9 years ago in 2006. Most of my work is for local businesses providing profile, commercial, editorial, stock and promotional type photography. I also enjoy family and individual portrait photography as well as covering events and weddings. I occasionally do photography work for the local paper and some times do work for magazines.
As well as taking and producing images I also do workshops on photography. I occasionally do these workshops for Calumet Photographic in Bristol and London. But mostly I do private workshops locally.
If you live in the Gloucestershire area chances are you've seen some of my work. One day I'll get clever and make a gallery of some of it.
You'll often find me involved in the local community in some form or fashion. I'm a regular supporter of the Stroud Fringe Festival, Stroud FM, other local community events and a number of local charities.
I am an active member of the Stroud Businesswomen's Network, winners of the Stroud Life's Business Awards 2014 Communicator of the Year Award. I'm also now a committee member.
I've been a member and on the committees of both the Stonehouse Wheelers Cycling Club and the Stroud Camera Club.
Before Stroud FM community radio shut down I was a presenter of two radio shows. The SWAN Show (Stroud Women At Noon) and Beyond the Lens (Photography show). Just before the station shut down I was preparing to join the new committee. I was very sad that it had to close.
Love your work. I bought a Fotorgear Magilight, have been through all the tutorials (as well as anything I can find online), but can't get the light to actually turn on. I have been through all the commands, but nothing seems to work. Can you point me to a helpful source? Thanks. Bob
